Flexible Invoices Ideas

Have an invoice format that will allow the invoice to be sent in a standard #10 window envelope, with the customers billing address that will show in the window. The invoices should be setup to print on an 8.5" x 11" (standard letter size) page, which will be folded just like a letter would fold, except inside out so that the printed side will be able to show through the window.

When you download an invoice, the name of the invoice PDF file should contain the order number for easy look-up.

Payments via for example Woocommerce always include the Order number and not the Flexible invoices Invoice number, so it would be extremely handy to automatically add the order number to the name of the downloaded invoice. Just like you can add the Order number to the invoice itself, it would also be good to have an option to add it to the file name of the downloaded invoice.

Currently the only Prefixes and Suffixes available for the downloadable invoice file name are {DD} – day, {MM} – month, {YYYY} – year. It would be very help full if the order number and the Customer name / Company name could be added to this.

In this case it becomes much easier to search through downloaded invoices.

E-invoicing with PEPPOL will be mandatory for businesses in the EU the coming years (2026 for Belgium)

Currently, Flexible Invoices support invoice translation with WPML. But if you want invoices to be issued in two languages, e.g. in English and your native language, vote for this idea!

Let us know if you want your buyer’s details and additional data such as shipping address to be displayed on the invoice.

Add the possibility to change the date format easily.

Select specific orders or all orders to bulk issue invoices.

Vote for this feature if you want to add PayPal, Stripe, PayU or other gateways payment links to your invoices 🙂

I'm not a programmer, so the way you described copying the folder to my theme and making changes there is too difficult for me.
I would like to be able to completely design my own invoice template, with something like a drag and drop builder, or my Divi builder for instance. To really make it look the way I want it.
I don't know if it's possible to have shortcodes to place the tables and the buyer and seller information, where I would like to place them.
And of course, being able to create a footer with all my additional info.

An option to have sequential invoice & correction invoice numbers. Example: Invoice 001, Invoice 002, Correction 003 (let's say it corresponds to invoice 001), Invoice 004 and so on.

I would like to display my company information in the footer.
It would be nice to have a html editor block, where I could display additional information and links to the website, bank number, swift code, chamber of commerce number, my own VAT number, instead of in the sellers block, copyright info.
In my country is required to have this information on your invoices, but I can't put it in the footer because there isn't one. I hope this can be done.

Do you want to customize the appearance of invoices? Do you like to easily use new fonts, colors, or set the PDF background?

Sending each generated invoice to our accountant's email automatically would be a fantastic addition.
This feature would mirror the existing functionality for customers but would entail forwarding the invoices to a designated email address, complete with the attached invoice document.

It would make acountants lifes easier if there was an option to export all invoices for a given date range as CSV so it could be automatically imported to acountant sofware 😉
